Year-Round Schools
By Megan

No, I do not think we should year-round schools because they are just as good in learning and are just about the same amount of days as regular schools. “We found that students in year-round schools learn more during the summer, when others are on vacation, but they seem to learn less than other children during the rest of the year,” said Paul von Hippel (Ohio State Research.) Showing that the students attending year round schools learn just as much as children in regular schools do creates another reason why year round schooling is a bad idea.
"Most often, year-round schooling is not an extension of the school year, but, rather, a reorganization of it." (Education Week) Finding that there is a small extension if at all we can say that with the breaks spred out more the school year would not be that different.
